National Weather Service forecasts from Peachtree City consistently project an overnight low near 72–73°F in Atlanta on August 31, supported by high dewpoints around 71°F and a building upper-level ridge that limits radiational cooling under mostly clear skies. Persistent moisture from a weakening frontal boundary to the north maintains elevated minimum temperatures above the late-August climatological average of roughly 69–70°F. Market-implied odds remain tightly clustered because short-range models can still shift the exact minimum by a degree or two depending on subtle changes in cloud cover, wind speed, or boundary-layer mixing before resolution. New GFS and ECMWF runs plus the next NWS update will provide the primary near-term catalysts for any rebalancing.
