Recent national polling averages place President Trump’s job approval in the mid-to-high 30s with net ratings near minus 19 to minus 20, reflecting persistent public dissatisfaction with economic conditions, cost-of-living pressures, and the ongoing Iran conflict. Aggregators such as Nate Silver’s Silver Bulletin recorded a modest rebound to minus 19.5 as of September 11, up from a second-term low of minus 20.6, driven by minor stabilization in several surveys released in early September. A Republican-leaning Rasmussen poll and select others showed readings above 40 percent, while broader measures from Reuters/Ipsos, Economist/YouGov, and Quinnipiac remained lower. Traders appear to price in the likelihood that weekly tracking averages will register a small net gain amid normal polling variance and the absence of major negative catalysts in the immediate period, though structural headwinds on the economy and foreign policy continue to limit upside.

If no data point is published for the first reference date, the most recent prior day with a published data point will be used instead.
If no data point is published for the second reference date by 12:00 PM ET on the third calendar day after that date, the most recent prior day with a published data point will be used instead.
This market's resolution source will be Silver Bulletin's approval rating poll aggregator, https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin, specifically the approval rating indicated by the green trend line for the resolution date. Changes in the methodology by which Silver Bulletin calculates the approval rating will have no bearing on the resolution of this market.
