Mark Keough holds a commanding position as the Republican incumbent seeking a third term as Montgomery County Judge, benefiting from the county’s consistent double-digit Republican margins in recent cycles and his established record on tax relief, public safety funding, and infrastructure priorities. After narrowly securing the GOP nomination in the March 2026 primary, Keough faces Democrat James Graf, who advanced unopposed, in the November 3 general election. Trader consensus reflects the structural partisan baseline and limited crossover potential in this Houston-suburban jurisdiction. Late developments such as unusually high Democratic turnout, a major scandal, or health-related withdrawal could still alter the outcome before early voting begins in mid-October.
