Flávio Bolsonaro’s nomination by the Liberal Party in late July 2026, backed by his father Jair Bolsonaro, has reinforced his position as the leading right-wing contender ahead of the October 4 first-round vote. Paraná’s conservative voter base and alignment with Liberal Party priorities on security and economic issues underpin the market’s assessment of his advantage in the state, distinct from tighter national polling between Bolsonaro and incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Other candidates including Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and Renan Santos of the Mission Party register lower shares, consistent with limited regional momentum. Scheduled debates and final campaign pushes in the remaining weeks could still influence first-round ordering within Paraná.
