Flávio Bolsonaro maintains overwhelming trader consensus for first place in Rondônia’s October 4 first round due to the state’s entrenched conservative leanings and consistent polling leads exceeding 30 points. Recent Veritá surveys from mid-September showed him at 57.5% against Lula’s 25.3%, aligning with earlier Real Time Big Data and Quaest findings that placed the Liberal Party senator near 58% and 45% respectively. Rondônia delivered Jair Bolsonaro a 70.6%-29.3% victory in 2022, reflecting voter priorities on security, economic policy, and skepticism toward federal institutions. Lula’s national campaign has struggled to gain traction in this northern Amazon stronghold. While major late developments such as scandals or turnout shifts could theoretically narrow margins, current evidence points to structural barriers for challengers.
