Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official observations from the London City Airport meteorological station, corroborated by Met Office data at nearby Heathrow and St James's Park sites, confirm a maximum temperature of 15°C on April 22, driving trader consensus to a 100% implied probability for this outcome. Partly cloudy skies, light winds, and a cooler northerly airflow—following the early April heatwave that peaked above 26°C—suppressed temperatures in line with pre-event Met Office and BBC Weather model consensus forecasting highs of 15–17°C amid waning high pressure. While measurement protocols at screened thermometers ensure reliability, rare post hoc revisions from quality control could theoretically challenge this, though historical precedents show such adjustments are minimal for daily maxima.
