**Chou Chun-mi**, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) incumbent magistrate of Pingtung County since 2022, holds an 86.5% implied probability as the leading outcome, while Kuomintang (KMT) nominee **Su Ching-chuan** stands at 14%. Traders price in Chou’s established incumbency advantage, strong local party organization, and the county’s recent DPP-leaning results in magistrate races. Su’s nomination, confirmed through KMT internal processes earlier in 2026, positions him as the primary challenger but has not shifted market consensus amid limited reported momentum or alternative candidacies. With the November 2026 local elections still months away, the current pricing reflects structural factors such as voter base stability and the absence of major late-breaking developments or coalition shifts that could alter the field. Multiple other listed candidates at 50% appear to represent low-visibility or non-nominated options unlikely to factor into the final contest under Taiwan’s single-member district system.
