Eduardo Braga (MDB) leads recent polling averages for one of the two Amazonas Federal Senate seats in the October 2026 election, yet the contest for first place remains fluid among a field that includes Capitão Alberto Neto (PL), Wilson Lima (União Brasil), Plínio Valério (PSDB), and several others. Wilson Lima’s April resignation from the governorship to enter the race, combined with ongoing candidate registrations through mid-August, has sustained uncertainty over final ballot positioning and voter consolidation. Incumbency advantages for Braga and Valério contrast with Alberto Neto’s party momentum and Lima’s name recognition in the interior, while lower-visibility contenders fragment support. These factors, alongside limited late-cycle polling and the majoritarian rules for the two seats, underpin trader views of a narrow race where shifts in alliances or turnout could reorder the top finishers.
