The Laurier-Dorion riding remains a tight contest between incumbent Québec solidaire MNA Andrés Fontecilla and Liberal challenger Randy Legault-Rankin, with trader odds clustered near 44-50% for the leaders and well below for PQ's Kelly Lazo de la Vega, Conservative Derek Lefebvre, and CAQ's Emil Parfyonov. Fontecilla benefits from strong 2022 results and local incumbency in this Montreal district, while Liberals draw on historical strength and broader provincial positioning ahead of the October 5 general election. Recent candidate nominations through summer 2026 and the August 27 writ have not shifted the balance, as limited riding-specific polling and an open nomination window until September 17 sustain uncertainty. Key factors that could separate contenders include turnout among diverse urban voters, campaign focus on housing and services, and any late provincial momentum shifts.
