National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to peak temperatures near 92–93°F for Atlanta on September 21 under sunny skies and light easterly flow, though afternoon convective development introduces uncertainty that supports the closely matched 90–91°F and 92–93°F market outcomes. High pressure and minimal cloud cover early in the day favor strong insolation and surface heating, while the urban heat island effect and dew points near 70°F could push heat indices higher even if raw air temperatures fall slightly short. Recent model runs show minor disagreements on the timing of isolated storms, which could shave a degree or two from the daily maximum if they initiate before peak heating. Historical September baselines around 83–85°F underscore the anomalously warm conditions sustaining trader focus on these narrow ranges.
