**Trader consensus strongly favors a 40°C high in Karachi on September 13, driven by official forecasts from the Pakistan Meteorological Department and international models projecting peak temperatures near that threshold under mostly sunny skies, westerly winds of 10–15 mph, and low precipitation chances.** Current observations show afternoon readings climbing into the upper 30s°C with high humidity (50–70%) and heat indices elevated by several degrees, consistent with late-summer climatology for the region. The 98.5% implied probability reflects aggregated trader assessment of these conditions and historical September maxima around 37–40°C. A shift in steering patterns allowing greater cloud cover, an earlier monsoon pulse, or revised model runs showing a lower peak could realistically push the official maximum below 40°C, though such changes appear unlikely given the latest guidance.
