**Persistent late-summer warmth kept Houston’s overnight low in the upper 70s on September 20.** Official observations from Houston Intercontinental Airport recorded a minimum near 76–77 °F amid a strong high-pressure ridge that suppressed cooler northerly flow and maintained dew points in the mid-70s. This aligns with the month’s elevated baseline, where recent nights have averaged 72–77 °F and no frontal passage occurred to drop temperatures below seasonal norms. Market-implied odds reflect near-certainty in these verified readings, as National Weather Service data and model consensus showed no realistic pathway for a sharp nocturnal drop. Only an unexpected localized cooling event or station-specific anomaly could alter the outcome, both of which remain improbable given the uniform regional conditions.
