In the Nicolet-Bécancour riding, trader odds reflect a tight three-way contest among Parti Québécois candidate Jérôme Gagnon, Parti Conservateur du Québec nominee Guillaume Langlois, and incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Donald Martel, with Liberal Sophie Martinbeault trailing. Recent candidate nominations and provincial polling trends have narrowed what was a stronger CAQ position in 2022, as PQ and PCQ gain ground in this Centre-du-Québec district ahead of the October 5, 2026 general election. Local factors such as Gagnon's community ties, Langlois's profile as a physician, and Martel's ministerial role in agriculture sustain the balance, while broader shifts in voter preferences among rural and suburban blocs keep implied probabilities closely aligned. Upcoming campaign milestones, including the September 17 nomination deadline and leader visits, could widen gaps if one party consolidates support or if turnout patterns favor a particular contender.
