**Forecasts for Houston on September 2, 2026, indicate a high near 90–93°F amid scattered showers and thunderstorms, with 50–70% rain chances limiting peak heating through reduced solar radiation and evaporative cooling.** Recent NWS and model guidance highlight south-to-southeast winds, high humidity, and morning convection that could cap the daily maximum below recent late-August readings near 98°F. This uncertainty—driven by variable storm timing and coverage—explains the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities across the 86–91°F bins, as traders weigh the potential for suppressed highs against clearer periods allowing brief warming. New model runs and satellite updates over the next 48 hours will likely refine these temperature thresholds ahead of market resolution.
