A crowded field of more than 20 registered candidates continues to fragment voter support ahead of Lima’s October 4 municipal election, keeping early polling and trader probabilities tightly bunched among the top names. Carlos Bruce currently holds the narrowest lead in most surveys, followed by Francis Allison, with Samuel Daza, Carlos Tejada, and Daniel Urresti clustered further back; recent withdrawals such as Luis Rubio’s have produced only modest shifts in the remaining field. The absence of a dominant frontrunner, combined with limited name recognition for many contenders and several months of campaigning still ahead, sustains high uncertainty and prevents any single outcome from pulling decisively ahead in market pricing.
