Apple’s first foldable iPhone, widely expected as the iPhone Ultra, is slated for announcement at the September 9 event alongside iPhone 18 Pro models, driving trader focus on its revealed starting price. Consistent analyst and supply-chain reports peg the book-style device—featuring a roughly 5.5-inch cover screen and 7.8-inch inner OLED—at $2,000–$2,500 initially, with higher-storage variants potentially reaching $2,900 or more, well above Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 lineup. Recent production updates show limited output of a few hundred units daily, supporting a September reveal but constrained early availability, while competitive pressures from established Android foldables and Apple’s premium positioning reinforce expectations for a high launch price amid ongoing hinge and display refinements.
