Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and multiple models converge on a daily maximum near 66–68°F for New York City on September 24, driven by persistent northeasterly flow advecting cooler maritime air under high pressure. Mostly cloudy skies and moderate winds (15–20 mph) will limit solar heating and vertical mixing, keeping the peak well below the late-September climatological average of 73°F. Ensemble spreads and minor differences in cloud timing or boundary-layer mixing create the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities across the 62–71°F bins, with traders weighing the latest model runs against the stable synoptic pattern expected through the short-term period.
