Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate an overnight low near 61°F for Atlanta on September 24, driven by northeast winds, increasing cloud cover, and a modest cool-air intrusion following earlier showers. This places the expected minimum close to the long-term average of 63°F while remaining well above the historical record low of 45°F. Market-implied odds near 50% for both sub-57°F and 76°F-plus outcomes reflect substantial trader uncertainty around steering patterns, model spread in boundary-layer temperatures, and the precise timing of any additional cooling or warming. Key variables that could shift the outcome include revisions in short-range guidance and the extent of radiational cooling under clearing skies. Updated NWS briefings and model runs over the next 48 hours will likely narrow the range.
