A cold front that reached the region earlier in the week has increased cloud cover and southeasterly flow, limiting solar heating and keeping highs below recent late-August peaks near 25–30°C. Official guidance from sources such as the Met Office and local models shows partly to mostly cloudy skies with possible light precipitation or garoa, moderating temperatures relative to climatological August averages of roughly 22°C. Minor differences in cloud timing and wind strength across model runs create the narrow distribution between 19°C and 21°C, while probabilities drop sharply outside that range. Updated NHC-style regional guidance and local observations through the morning of the 24th will provide the final calibration before resolution.
