Recent National Weather Service guidance shows persistent southerly flow and mostly clear skies holding overnight lows in Austin near 76–79°F for September 14, well above the 1991–2020 average of 68°F. Model consensus across short-range runs supports minimal nocturnal cooling under high pressure, with dew points remaining elevated near 70°F. The near-even market split between sub-69°F and 88°F-plus outcomes highlights genuine forecast uncertainty around any late timing shift in steering patterns or unexpected boundary-layer mixing that could alter the minimum by several degrees. Updated model cycles and surface observations over the next 24–48 hours will likely resolve the range.
