This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Los Angeles International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 23 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=klax This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models and recent observations position 66-67°F as the most probable overnight low for Los Angeles on September 23, 2026.** Multiple sources, including National Weather Service guidance and ensemble runs, indicate nighttime temperatures in the upper 60s under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with light onshore flow and a moderating marine layer. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting at 54% for that bin, while adjacent ranges (64-65°F and 68-69°F) capture residual uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing and exact timing of any coastal stratus. Late-September climatology shows an average low near 63°F, yet persistent high pressure and above-normal sea-surface temperatures this season have supported warmer nocturnal readings. Recent days have seen lows in the mid-to-upper 60s, with minimal cooling expected overnight into the 23rd absent a stronger offshore wind event. Traders appear to be pricing in the consensus from the latest model cycles, which show limited spread and no sharp cold-air advection. Key upcoming data include the next NWS forecast updates and any revised model guidance on marine-layer depth, which could nudge probabilities if stratus thickens or clears earlier than expected. The current distribution reflects measured trader assessment of these stable, mild conditions rather than extreme outliers.
