Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate sunny conditions and light southwest winds will drive a daytime high in the low to mid-80s°F for Los Angeles on September 23, supported by building high pressure and reduced marine layer influence. This aligns with late-September climatology, where downtown averages near 83°F, though sea breezes at coastal stations like LAX often cap readings several degrees lower. Trader consensus clustering around 78–81°F reflects uncertainty over exact peak timing and microclimate differences, with models showing minimal disagreement on overall warmth but potential for slight revisions from overnight low-cloud persistence. Final hourly observations from official stations will determine resolution.
