National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco on September 24 project an overnight low near 58°F under partly cloudy conditions, consistent with a mid-week warming trend from ridging that gives way to a trough-driven cooldown by Friday. This places the expected minimum above the 1991–2020 average of 55.6°F yet well short of the 50°F record low, reflecting typical marine-layer moderation and onshore westerly flow that limits radiative cooling in the urban heat island. Trader consensus near 50% for 49°F or below versus 49% for 68°F or higher highlights uncertainty in exact boundary-layer mixing and any late-day marine push, with resolution hinging on official observations at key stations like San Francisco International Airport.
