Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate clear skies and high pressure building over the Pacific Northwest, favoring radiative cooling overnight into September 17 with a forecast low near the seasonal average of 52.9 °F at Sea-Tac. Multiple runs project overnight minima of 52–53 °F under light northeast winds and dew points in the low 50s, supporting the market’s leading 54–55 °F and 52–53 °F bins. Dry conditions and minimal cloud cover reduce the chance of warmer advection or fog that could elevate the low, while historical analogs show similar setups rarely dip below 50 °F this early in fall. Updated model runs and any evening surface observations ahead of the overnight minimum will be the next key inputs for traders.
