Hsu Shu-hua, the Kuomintang (KMT) incumbent magistrate of Nantou County since December 2022, holds a 90.5% implied probability in the market, reflecting her established position ahead of the November 28, 2026 local elections. As the sitting officeholder with prior legislative experience in the county's districts, she benefits from incumbency advantages, party organizational support, and Nantou's consistent KMT voting patterns in magistrate races. Wen Shih-cheng at 8.5% and other listed candidates remain distant, consistent with limited reported challenges or alternative nominations at this stage. KMT leadership activities in 2026 have reinforced party unity without signaling shifts in this race. Traders price in these structural factors while noting that primary outcomes, candidate entries, or late developments could still alter the field before voting.
