The bill, backed by all six coalition factions, is slated for an initial vote as early as May 20 and is expected to pass with broad support, triggering elections roughly 90 days later. Opposition parties have also advanced competing dissolution measures, intensifying competition over the electoral timetable and control of the process. These developments reflect ongoing coalition instability rooted in the Haredi parties’ demands, which have heightened prospects for parliament’s dissolution in the coming weeks.
