Ricardo Samaniego, the Democratic incumbent seeking a third term as El Paso County Judge, holds a commanding lead in the November 3, 2026 general election. He advanced unopposed through the March 3 Democratic primary after prior victories in 2018 and 2022, while Republican nominee Minerva Torres Shelton, a retired FBI agent and former police officer, secured her party's nomination by defeating Guadalupe Giner. El Paso's strong Democratic voter registration and consistent support for Democratic candidates in county races underpin the market's implied probability. No major polling shifts or late developments have altered the structural dynamics, though turnout patterns, candidate-specific endorsements, or unexpected local issues could still influence final results in this heavily partisan jurisdiction.
