This stable synoptic pattern has held across successive model runs, producing a narrow 1°C envelope that underpins the market’s 100% implied probability on the 28°C outcome. Historical May climatology in the Kanto region supports such peaks when high pressure dominates, with minimal risk of nocturnal cooling or frontal disruption. The principal factors that could still shift the recorded high remain an unanticipated late forecast adjustment or localized measurement variation at the reference station.
