A crowded field of ten registered candidates for the two Mato Grosso Senate seats keeps first-place probabilities fragmented and closely matched around the low-to-mid 20s percent range. Recent Real Time Big Data polling shows ex-governor Mauro Mendes and Janaína Riva leading but separated by only a couple points, with Carlos Fávaro, José Medeiros, and Pedro Taques clustered just behind amid a broad undecided share. Alliances tied to the concurrent gubernatorial race, agricultural and mining sector interests, and the August 15 candidacy registration deadline have shaped positioning without producing a decisive frontrunner. Trader consensus reflects this uncertainty, with further separation likely hinging on September-October polling trends, turnout among rural voters, and any late coalition realignments.
