Lula's commanding position in Sergipe for first place in the October 4 first round reflects his established strength across the Northeast, where recent Quaest polling from late August shows him at 53% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 19% and all other registered candidates at 3% or below. Positive government approval ratings near 60% and favorable evaluations of his administration reinforce this edge among state voters. Trader consensus at 96% aligns with these patterns and the limited traction shown by alternatives like Ronaldo Caiado or Pablo Marçal in the same surveys. Shifts could occur if undecided voters (around 11-12%) consolidate behind challengers or if late-campaign developments alter preferences before election day.
