In the Pernambuco Senate race for the second seat, trader consensus reflects a highly fragmented field where no single challenger has consolidated support behind frontrunner Marília Arraes. Recent August polling from Real Time Big Data shows Arraes at 29% while Humberto Costa, Mendonça Filho, Eduardo da Fonte, and Túlio Gadêlha cluster in the low-to-mid 20s, with several other names including Samuel Timoteo, Gorett Bitu, and Carlos Sant'Anna within a few points amid high undecided shares. Party alliances, candidate positioning across PT, PDT, PL, PP, PSD, and smaller groups, plus ongoing convention dynamics continue to keep the contest open, with modest shifts in local surveys or late endorsements likely to reorder the middle of the pack before October voting.
