Recent national polling ahead of the October 4 first round shows President Lula (PT) leading at 38–42% with Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) in second at 28–35%, while Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, Augusto Cury, and others remain in single digits. Trader consensus for first place in Amazonas remains tightly clustered because state-level surveys are scarce and the field is highly fragmented, with many low-visibility candidates priced near even odds. National polarization between the Workers’ Party incumbent seeking a fourth term and the Liberal Party challenger backed by the Bolsonaro movement dominates attention, while regional factors such as economic conditions, security, and environmental policy in the North have yet to produce clear separation in Amazonas voter intentions. Scheduled debates and final candidate registrations could shift state dynamics before voting.
