Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model guidance indicate upper-90s highs for Austin on September 18, with consensus near 97–99°F amid persistent southerly flow and limited cloud cover. Trader-implied odds remain closely split across the 94–103°F range because small differences in afternoon dew points, boundary-layer mixing, and any weak convective development can shift the daily maximum by several degrees. Above-average temperatures relative to the late-September climatological normal of ~90–91°F reflect ongoing warmth, while historical records above 100°F underscore the potential for outliers if subsidence strengthens. Updated GFS and ECMWF runs plus the next NWS point forecast will likely narrow the distribution ahead of resolution.
