Official National Weather Service forecasts for Austin on September 15 project a daytime high of 100–101°F under mostly sunny skies after morning clouds, driven by southerly winds and elevated humidity levels that support heat indices above 105°F. Multiple model runs and point forecasts align closely on this range, consistent with late-summer patterns where regional high pressure maintains above-average temperatures well above the 91°F climatological normal. The 100–101°F bin leads market-implied odds at 61.5% because recent guidance shows minimal cooling potential before peak heating, though small revisions in afternoon dew points or cloud cover could shift outcomes toward adjacent bins. Final NWS updates and real-time observations will determine exact resolution.
