Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 16 project a high near 93°F under mostly sunny skies with light easterly winds and only a slight afternoon shower chance, aligning closely with the market's strongest consensus around 94-95°F. Persistent late-summer warmth, elevated dew points supporting heat indices above 105°F, and limited cloud cover from regional high pressure have kept recent days running several degrees above the 89°F climatological average. Model consensus shows little deviation expected overnight into Wednesday, though any increase in boundary-layer moisture or convective development could cap afternoon maxima slightly lower. Traders appear to be weighting these official guidance products heavily ahead of final NWS updates.
