Current short-term forecast models from the National Weather Service and GFS indicate a minimum temperature near 62°F for New York City on September 16, driven by mostly clear to partly cloudy overnight conditions with light winds shifting from northerly to southwesterly. This setup favors radiative cooling after daytime highs near 78°F, aligning closely with the climatological average low of about 61.6°F. Trader sentiment clusters around the 62–65°F bins because ensemble guidance shows modest spread from variable cloud cover and boundary-layer moisture, while cooler outcomes below 55°F remain possible only if unexpected clear-sky intensification occurs. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
