The Bosniak and Croat members are elected from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the Serb member is elected from Republika Srpska. General elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed individual elected to serve as the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of this election. Interim, temporary, or caretaker Presidency members will not count. If no such Presidency member has been elected by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (izbori.ba); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Incumbent Denis Bećirović maintains a narrow lead among traders in the race for the Bosniak seat on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite presidency, reflecting his ongoing role since 2022 and recent visibility as rotating chair during international engagements. The October 4, 2026 general election remains the key resolution trigger, with the Bosniak member elected directly by voters in the Federation entity. Bakir Izetbegović, leader of the largest Bosniak party SDA and a former presidency member, trails as the main challenger, supported by established party infrastructure yet facing a fragmented electorate. Semir Efendić, mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo and head of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, occupies third place after confirming his candidacy, potentially splitting moderate and Sarajevo-based support that could otherwise consolidate behind the incumbent.
