This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 13 May '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column on the specified date once information is finalized for all hours on that date, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Trader consensus overwhelmingly favors 23°C as Istanbul's highest temperature on May 13, backed by official observations from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM), which recorded peak readings of 23°C at primary stations like Istanbul Airport during midday hours under partly sunny conditions with northerly winds.** This aligns with MGM's pre-day forecast of 22-23°C highs and ECMWF model consensus anticipating mild spring warmth without significant heating, consistent with May climatology where daily maxima average 20-22°C amid Black Sea influences. Current late-afternoon data shows temperatures stabilizing below 23°C as cloud cover builds, solidifying the positioning. Realistic challenges would require a post-validation upward revision from MGM—such as an overlooked peripheral station reading—or microclimatic urban heat exceeding official metrics, though final daily summary expected imminently confirms no such exceedance.
