The Democrats, the merged Labour-Meretz list led by Yair Golan, remain a small but established player in Israel’s fragmented opposition ahead of the October 27 Knesset vote. Recent September polling averages place the party at 8–10 seats, with individual surveys ranging from 8 to 11 amid competition for left-leaning voters from larger centrist lists such as Yashar and Together. A surplus-vote agreement with Yashar provides some protection against falling below the 3.25% threshold, yet persistent weakness in the broader left and preference shifts within the anti-Netanyahu bloc keep outcomes clustered in the single digits. Trader pricing reflects this narrow band of recent results, with the highest probabilities assigned to fewer than 10 seats and limited upside unless turnout or late alliances shift materially before election day.
