Parliamentary elections to elect all 127 seats of the National Assembly of Quebec are scheduled to take place in Quebec on October 5, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the next Maskinongé Quebec National Assembly election for a full term beginning in October 2026 or thereafter. If the election results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official election results as published by Elections Quebec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/).The Maskinongé race remains tightly contested between CAQ incumbent Simon Allaire and PQ challenger Isabelle Blais, with provincial polling showing the two parties essentially tied ahead of the October 5 vote. Allaire reversed an earlier decision to retire and secured the CAQ nomination after the writs were dropped in late August, preserving continuity for the party that won the seat decisively in 2022. Blais, an actress and local native who captured the PQ nomination in April, benefits from the party's rising momentum in the Mauricie region and broader francophone voter shifts. Lower-polling candidates from the PLQ, QS, and PCQ split the remainder of the vote, limiting their ability to alter the CAQ-PQ dynamic. Upcoming advance voting and any late provincial swings could still shift the narrow margin.
