Recent polls ahead of Sweden's September 13 parliamentary election show Vänsterpartiet and Miljöpartiet polling within one percentage point of each other, typically between 6% and 8%, reflecting their competitive positioning within the centre-left opposition bloc. Trader consensus at 50% for V aligns with this tight race, where small shifts in voter preferences on welfare expansion versus environmental priorities, youth turnout, or campaign messaging could determine the outcome. Broader dynamics, including the red-green bloc's narrow lead over the Tidö government parties and ongoing focus on economic and security issues, keep both parties' relative support fluid in the final weeks. Late polling trends or debate performances remain key variables that could alter the balance before election day.
