**PL leads trader consensus at 61% implied probability for securing the most seats in Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies election on October 4, 2026, followed by UPB at roughly 40%, with all other parties below 1%.** PL enters the contest with one of the largest current caucuses (near 97–98 seats) and benefits from an established national network, strong candidate recruitment, and mobilization linked to the broader right-wing movement around presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro. Brazil’s open-list proportional representation system (with a 2% threshold and D’Hondt method) rewards parties that can field competitive slates across states, an area where PL has consolidated advantages since 2022. UPB (União Brasil-aligned bloc, currently around 100 seats) holds a sizable base but trails in implied odds due to its more fragmented positioning amid competition from other center-right groups. Smaller parties face structural barriers from the threshold and limited scale. Recent presidential polling, which shows a competitive race between incumbent Lula (PT/FE Brasil) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), has reinforced legislative momentum for PL without major counter-shifts in the past month. The simultaneous general election and high polarization continue to shape expectations around party performance.
