Marianne Alto, the incumbent Victoria mayor, holds a dominant 90% implied probability in the Polymarket market ahead of the October 17, 2026, election. As the sitting officeholder with an established record on issues such as community safety and municipal policy, she benefits from name recognition and limited organized opposition at this stage. Nominations close September 11, leaving room for additional entrants, yet no major challenger has consolidated significant support. Melissa Cseszko trails at roughly 6%, reflecting her lower visibility among registered contenders. The broad field of other named and unnamed candidates remains fragmented, with trader pricing assigning minimal probability to any single alternative upsetting the frontrunner before voting day.
