Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other sources indicate a high near 69°F for Seattle on August 29, with rain likely in the morning followed by a chance of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. This setup, driven by an approaching weather system after clearer conditions on the 28th, limits solar heating and introduces cooling from precipitation and increased cloud cover. Trader emphasis on the 68-69°F bin reflects this consensus, while spread into adjacent ranges captures uncertainty in exact rainfall timing, storm intensity, and marine air influence typical for late-summer Pacific Northwest conditions. Historical averages near 75°F underscore how this transient pattern suppresses maximum temperatures.
