Legislative elections to elect the House of Representatives of Morocco are scheduled to take place on September 23, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who assumes the office of Prime Minister (Head of Government) of Morocco, and whose government wins investiture from the House of Representatives in a vote of confidence, following the 2026 Moroccan legislative elections. To count for resolution, the government led by the individual must win investiture from the House of Representatives in a vote of confidence. Any interim, caretaker, or non-invested Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Morocco; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight contest for Morocco’s next prime minister reflects the September 23 parliamentary elections, where the party winning the most seats in the House of Representatives will supply the nominee appointed by the King under constitutional rules. Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, leader of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and housing minister, holds the strongest implied probability due to her party’s competitive standing alongside the National Rally of Independents (RNI), her municipal record in Marrakech, and PAM’s coalition experience. Recent party realignments, including Fouzi Lekjaa’s move to PAM, and polling showing RNI and PAM nearly even have kept multiple figures from RNI, Istiqlal, and PJD in contention. Post-election seat totals, coalition negotiations, and the King’s selection will determine separation among contenders.
