Fedorov, appointed in January 2026 and credited with advancing drone, robotics, and procurement reforms, rejected alternative posts and stated he would accept only reinstatement to shape wartime strategy. The move followed reported tensions with military command, including commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, who was later replaced. Zelenskyy appointed an acting successor and has shown no reversal, while demonstrators and some lawmakers continue pressing for Fedorov’s return to maintain technological momentum in the conflict with Russia. Traders monitor any parliamentary votes, official statements, or further protest developments that could shift reinstatement prospects before the market resolves.
