Legislative elections are schedule to be held in Israel on October 27, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially appointed and sworn in as Prime Minister of Israel following the 2026 parliamentary election. If an election is called early, this market will immediately resolve to the individual who is officially appointed and sworn in after that election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Israel; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party leads recent Israeli opinion polls for the October 27, 2026 Knesset election, positioning him as the frontrunner in trader assessments for prime minister. Multiple surveys through mid-September show Yashar capturing 22–24 seats, ahead of or tied with Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud at 18–22 seats, while Naftali Bennett’s Together party trails in the low teens. Eisenkot, a former IDF chief of staff running on security credentials and personal loss in Gaza, benefits from voter shifts away from the incumbent coalition after years of war and political fatigue. Netanyahu’s bloc typically polls near or below 55 seats, short of a majority, with the Zionist opposition bloc close behind and Arab parties holding balance-of-power potential. Coalition negotiations after the vote remain decisive, as no bloc has locked in 61 seats, keeping Bennett and smaller right-wing figures like Avigdor Lieberman as longer-shot alternatives in the market.
