Recent polls in Tocantins show a tight contest for first place in the October 4 presidential first round, with Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) and incumbent Lula (PT) essentially tied within margins of error across multiple surveys from mid-September. Flavio has posted modest gains in the state amid broader right-wing momentum tied to his father's legacy and party infrastructure, while Lula maintains core support despite national approval challenges. Minor candidates such as Augusto Cury, Ronaldo Caiado, and Renan Santos register low single digits and fragment the remainder. Trader pricing reflects this balance, with limited separation likely until final voter turnout patterns, late campaign events, or regional economic signals clarify preferences in the coming weeks.
