Recent forecast model runs for Helsinki show notable divergence in expected overnight minimums for September 13, with projected lows ranging from around 6°C to 13°C amid variable cloud cover, light southwesterly winds, and a weak frontal passage. This uncertainty drives the near-even market-implied odds between sub-7°C outcomes and highs of 16°C or above, as clear skies would enhance radiative cooling toward historical September averages near 10°C while increased moisture and mixing could hold temperatures higher. Official guidance from agencies like the Finnish Meteorological Institute emphasizes that small shifts in timing of any precipitation or wind direction could tip the minimum across key thresholds, leaving traders weighing ensemble spread against climatological baselines for the date.
