Sweden's September 13, 2026, parliamentary election produced one of the closest results in decades, with the centre-left opposition bloc of Social Democrats, Left Party, Greens and Centre Party projected at 176 seats against 173 for the incumbent right-wing Tidö grouping of Moderates, Sweden Democrats, Christian Democrats and Liberals in the 349-seat Riksdag. The narrow gap hinges on remaining advance and overseas ballots still being tallied, with final certified results expected mid-week. The Social Democrats remain the largest single party at roughly 28 percent, while the Sweden Democrats fell sharply to around 17.5 percent and lost seats for the first time. All eight established parties currently exceed the 4 percent threshold needed for representation, though the Liberals sit closest to the line and coalition talks will determine government formation once the new parliament convenes on September 28.

Each market will resolve to "Yes" if the specified party receives at least one seat in the Swedish Riksdag as a result of the 2026 Swedish parliamentary elections. Otherwise that market will resolve to "No".
Seats will be counted only where they are attributed to the specified party. Seats attributed to another party or electoral designation will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, seats officially attributed to that successor party will count.
If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, each market will resolve to "No".
Each market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the specified party in this election.
This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Swedish government, specifically the Swedish Election Authority (Valmyndigheten) (https://www.val.se/).
